Apple cider vinegar

Balsamic vinegar


Wash beets, leaving the skin on, and cut in half or quarters, depending on how small they are.
Heat a saucepan and add a few tablespoons of water just to coat the bottom. Add the beets with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and cover, simmering for about 15 minutes, until they can be easily pierced with a fork. Add fresh herbs (try dill, mint or thyme) and serve with a dab of butter and/or balsamic vinegar.
