Whole Circle Farm CSA

What is a CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a partnership between farmers and consumers where CSA members sign-up in advance at the beginning of the season for a weekly supply of fresh in-season produce! As a CSA member, you enjoy a direct relationship with the folks growing your food and the satisfaction of supporting & participating in a healthy, sustainable local food system!

We offer Spring, Summer and Winter CSAs, for year-round local veggies!

How does it work?

When you sign up for your shares, you will select your preferred weekly pick-up day and location.

Spring CSA:

  • 6 bi-weekly pick-ups of local, organically grown produce from our farm (spread out over 12 weeks from March to June)
  • Pick up your share at the Farm Store every other Thursday 3pm-7pm

Through the spring, your share will be filled with this season’s veggies (carrots, beets, potatoes, sweet potatoes, parsnips, onions, cabbage, radishes, celeriac, kohlrabi, and sunchokes to name a few!). We hope to offer fresh spinach each week from our unheated tunnels. Later on in the share, you can expect fresh veggies from the field including an array of salad greens and spring favourites like asparagus, rhubarb, fresh herbs and more!

Summer CSA:

  • 20 weekly pick-ups of fresh, local, organically grown in-season produce directly from our fields to your basket
  • runs from approximately mid-June to early November (we will inform you in advance when the first pick up will be!)
  • Three convenient pick-up times and locations:
    • Farm – Pick up your share at the Farm Store on Tuesdays 3pm-7pm
    • Guelph – Pick up your share at The Stone Store (14 Commercial St) on Tuesdays 4pm-7pm (enjoy a 10% discount at The Store Store during your CSA pick-up on all items in the store except bread and dairy!)
    • Georgetown – Pick up your share downtown Georgetown (22 George St) on Saturdays 9am-12pm (new location!)

Our farm’s summer bounty of organically grown veggies is delicious and diverse! Click here for a chart showing some vegetables you might expect through the summer, with their approximate point values.

Winter CSA:

  • 4 bi-weekly pick-ups of local, organically grown produce from our farm (spread out over 8 weeks, from November through December)
  • Pick up your share at the Farm Store every other Saturday, 9am to noon

Early winter tends to provide greens from the field (depending on the first frosts). Through the winter, we offer potatoes, carrots, beets, parsnips, cabbages, radish, turnips, celeriac, onions, garlic, leeks, and more!

How much food is in my share?

The Sizes:

There are five share sizes to choose from – X-Small, Small, Medium, Large and X-Large!

Choose a Large share if you are a family of two vegetable-loving adults (who enjoy veggies with most meals) or a family of two adults and two or three younger ones. The Small share works well for a couple or one vegetable-loving adult. The X-Small share is designed for one person who only needs a few veggies at a time. Medium and X-Large shares offer even more selection.

Using these guidelines, if you like preserving and/or having veggies with all your meals, go up one share size!

The Points:

The CSA operates on a point system. Each vegetables is assigned a point value at every pick-up for a specific amount (one pound, one head, and so on). As a member you are free to determine which vegetables and how much you want of each up to your weekly points allocation, which is determined by your share size!

We can generally accommodate subscription changes during the season if you find that your share quantity is more or less than you want.
